झारखंड पॉलिटेक्निक परीक्षा का प्रश्न बहुविकल्पिक (OMR) तथा कुल 150 अंको की होंगी। प्रत्येक प्रश्न 1 अंक का होगा तथा प्रत्येक गलत जवाब के लिए 0.25 अंक कटा जायेगा। परीक्षा की अवधि 2 घंटे 30 मिनट की होगी।

अन्य शाखाओं के लिए कोई आयु सीमा नहीं।
परीक्षा शुल्क
- सामान्य, (EWS)/पिछड़ी जाति – 1/ पिछड़ी जाति – 2: ₹650
- अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति/सभी कोटि की महिला: ₹325
- दिव्यांग: निःशुल्क
